Plus, Jack Downing and Mike Hagmaier of Soldier On tell us what they’re doing to help homeless veterans - and what you can do, too.

MANNA Soup Kitchen will deliver fresh-cooked holiday dinners on Thanksgiving Day to folks who are homebound or unable to get to a holiday dinner. Deliveries will be made to Northampton, Florence and Leeds. To place an order for a turkey dinner, call Iris at the Salvation Army this week Monday through Wednesday from 9 AM to 3 PM. You can reach her at 413-586-5299.

Volunteer drivers will deliver the dinners Thanksgiving Day morning. A festive turkey dinner for all in need of food and fellowship will be served from noon until 2:00 PM Thanksgiving Day in the downstairs social hall at Edwards Church.

It’s a live remote simulcast radiothon extravaganza, as we come to you live from Whole Foods in Hadley to raise money for the Food Bank of Western Mass. We’re joined by Monte Belmonte from our sibling station 93.9 WRSI the River joins us with info about all sorts of cool gifts you can get for your pledge.

Apparently the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife was feeling a little ignored, so they decided to whip up a little controversy to get your attention.

Kitty Callaghan of the Northampton Living Wage Coalition comes in to talk about the resolution that will be going before the city council tomorrow night.

Artist Rob Pruitt’s work is currently being shown in conjunction with the Andy Warhol exhibit at the UMass Fine Arts Center. Rob will be giving a talk tonight, and we get a little preview on the show. And Bill doesn’t challenge him to an iPhone duel.

Also, Jaz seems to have unicorns on the brain. What’s up with that? I have no idea.

Swine flu survivor Chris Collins talks about Wednesday night’s WHMP forum on the issues around H1N1 (and thankfully does not go into gruesome detail about his ordeal). Sarah Buttenwieser wonders why women were sacrificed for health care. And Nancy Talanian of “No More Guantanamos” talks about the recent Amherst decision that sparked death threats.

Today we’re broadcasting from the surface of the sun! Actually, it just feels that way, because the heat’s gone all kerflooey in the building. Luckily, Northampton Planning Director Wayne Feiden is used to taking heat. He comes in to talk about some of the current hot button issues here in the city. Then Chris Rohmann and Jan Whitaker tell us about this weekend’s Write Angles writers’ conference.

Happy Veteran’s Day. We chat with our own Bill Scher about the stupid Stupak amendment tied to the health care reform bill that just passed the House. Then, Jaime Michaels and director Wendy Jo Carlton discuss Wendy Jo’s film Hannah Free, which will be shown as part of the Out! for Reel film series this Friday.
